The Things They Say (or Sing)

  • Kyri asked me for something this week in a tone and manner that was less than pleasant. I hadn't even had a chance to respond when Ben said, "Come with me to the stairs Kyri and I'll teach you how to ask Mom so she'll say 'yes.'" That's my little politician. Sure enough, she was back, brushing up against my leg with a smile and a "Please, Mom, may I...?"And I have to admit: I said "yes."
  • Kyri has an imaginary friend named "Sanna." (No, it is not Susanna. I have clarified.) For awhile I thought I was just not understanding her pronunciation of a friend's name. But today we nailed it down. Her friend's name is Sanna. Then she added, "And I have a friend named 'Sally.' Who is a boy." Then I realized she is quite imaginative. Which is why her female doll is "Moses."
  • At church today, Mike was holding Ev during the singing. And I could hear amongst the voices, Ev, singing in her little heart out. I couldn't make out words but she was doing quite nicely with the tune.

Having a doll named Moses made me laugh out loud! Good job, Kyri!
And I'm SO happy that my little god baby is musical :)

Ben, our next President.
Wow. Maybe you can stay in the mother and father of the Pres. apartment at the White House.
And Kyri is a kick.
