The Family

We went to Victoria for the chance to see Mike's sister Amber and her husband Edgar. Edgar is in the process of obtaining a spouse visa and this means that while it is in process he can't cross the U.S. border. And process is LONG. So we went to visit while they were in Canada. (They live in Mexico.)

Ben was unusually tired in Victoria which may have something to do with a tremendous growth spurt. For one meal, he ate his entire kid's meal and I ordered a second and he finished that and began to eat off of our plates. Between Everleigh's need to nurse, Kyrie's need to have a good afternoon nap, and Ben's exhaustion, we didn't do all that much in Victoria. But we did make it to a children's animal farm where the kids enjoyed petting goats, listening to a noisy sheep, and seeing a baby miniature donkey on its wobbly legs.

We enjoyed walks in the Inner Harbor. Mike, Ben, and Kyri took a tour of the Houses of Parliament while Ev napped in the hotel. But mostly it was about getting to know Tio (Uncle) Edgar and Aunt Amber. And eating. Lots of eating.
