What's New?

  • Remember this? Looks like a root canal for the K-girl. Poor baby. We'll see what the dentist says next week but the tooth is most definitely grey. Meanwhile, I've asked my brother to work on finding a dentist for a wife. We are more than covered in the legal department, but could definitely use a dentist.
  • We enjoyed the Lacey Fun Fair in the sunshine. We've lived here for five fun fairs and it is usually raining or we're out of town. I didn't remember the camera. But trust me. Fun was had by all. Bouncy houses, slides, a petting zoo, and lollipops. DQ and a bath later, Kyri volunteered to take a second nap.
  • The post office is inane. I changed our address online which involves getting some great coupons for moving. I asked that our mail be forwarded beginning May 28. Friday, I discovered a "VACANT" notice in our mailbox. I called the local post office and they verified that our letter carrier is a twit. No mail today.... I have a number of things coming for the new house, being sent to this one. We'll see if it makes it.
  • Everleigh had her first haircut last night. Her dad decided he was done with the comb-over look and gave her a cute healthy little buzz cut. When asked if he had saved any of her precious baby locks, he replied, "I was afraid you would ask that."
  • Speaking of the cutest little baby in our house, she has started making peace with the car. (Queue Hallelujah chorus here.) And a nap now and then. (Insert picture of relieved and ecstatic mother here.)
  • Kyri has two more weeks of ballet left. She continues to love it. Today her teacher passed around a sign up sheet for anyone interested in a mother/daughter ballet class. I laughed. HA! It is too late for some things. Truly.
  • I'm trying to convince the kids they must learn to swim. Ben says he will never get close enough to the water (without us) to need to know how to swim. I asked if he wouldn't like to get in a boat someday or take a ferry ride. He checked with friends. They told him about life jackets. He suggests we get him one if we're worried about him falling into the water.

You sure have your hands full with that boy. He is so smart.
Sorry about Kyrie's tooth.
Glad about the car and naps though.

Sorry to hear about Kyrie's tooth. I'm assuming it is still a baby tooth? I had a baby tooth that after a nasty bump turned all sorts of nice colors--blue, green, purple--and didn't have to have a root canal. Hopefully Kyrie won't have to suffer that yet in her young life. I'm curious what your dentist says.
