Wasn't Sandra Bullock lovely at last night's Oscars? Yay for a tasteful elegant dress. Surprised she won for The Blind Side but very pleased. It was great to see The Touhys (the family the movie is about) there. I think Michael Oher was sitting next to them and for some reason he wasn't identified. Mike had recently watched The Hurt Locker and thought it was very deserving of Best Picture. We thought it was interesting to have Kathryn Bigelow (Director of The Hurt Locker) sitting in front of her ex-husband James Cameron (Director of Avatar) battling it out for the most awards.
But even better was Michele Pfeiffer's tribute to Jeff Bridges who won Best Actor. He's been married once, for nearly 33 years and Pfeiffer made a point of talking about his commitment to his wife and daughters during her tribute. Glad he won.

I loved Sandra's hair and while I'm not a huge fan of bright lips her's looked amazing!
And just think, Jon is going into explosive ordinance! I just hope they never make a movie about his experiences- although I must admit I have not watched "The Hurt Locker", even though I had heard (before the Oscars) it is a good movie.
