Day 28

My friend Heather visited me this week before returning to Alaska to run her business.

She has had times of anxiety and all the stages of grief. But God has met her in each one of them. I have never seen her more certain and full of strength. The days ahead will bring her some hard times. She is more than ready to face them head on.

One thing she shared was that she was out walking and praying the day her husband died. She had looked at the time and realized she needed to head back when she felt God say to her, "What will you do if something happens to Monte?" Later, she realized that it was the exact time he was dying. She has never been alone in this. This gives me goosebumps.

Talking with her reminded me of heaven, and of the hope that is within me. I sent her this song tonight. If there is a "funeral song" I suppose this is it.

What strength. It brings tears to my eyes to know that she felt God with her and continues to feel Him
walking with her.
