Visitors, Visitors

Mike's mom and sister Grace were out visiting for five days and just went home Tuesday. Mike's mom brought many presents and happily supervised those art projects that make me grimace. She also took the kids to McDonald's Playland and the Children's Museum and had a nice family birthday party for Ben. She brought the Reitz Christmas with her and presents for Ben's birthday. "You went crazy Nana," Ben told her. It's been a lot of fun.

Unfortunately it was followed by illness. First Everleigh came down with a cold/cough. Then Ben, whose voice is still altered but is running around now like his old self. Kyrie took the biggest hit with a fever that kept her up much of the night and had her cuddling with one or the other of us all morning. She thinks Ibuprofen is her friend now and is feeling a little better. Mike is fighting. Fighting.

And last night Aunt Lindsay arrived to the sick house. She has thrown herself into helping, holding the baby, cuddling Kyrie, playing games with Ben. And we're loving it all. I'm delaying the inevitable....Learning to have a routine with three kids. That will happen. Soon. Too soon.

I hope you are all feeling much better soon. Don't worry too much about getting a routine- I'm not sure that's really possible :) No, it is, but be prepared for frequent bumps in the road. Just take time to enjoy your children now- they grow up so fast. I will have 2 flying from the nest this summer. (They forgot the rule I guess that says it's supposed to be one at a time so mom can adjust slowly!)

I hope by this time you are all well. I am sure Lindsay was a great help.
Try to stay warm and dry. Rain, rain, rain.
