Hanging in there

Last night we thought it was the real thing. The midwife even thought it was the real thing. She told me to come up and we did, arriving ready to go. And an hour later after monitoring and checking me, she sent me home to try and rest. She gave me a Tylenol PM, my mom gave me some herbs and I managed to semi-sleep through contractions 5-8 minutes apart all night long. Not at all what I had in mind.

This morning I managed two hours of restful sleep and that helped things.

I called my Grandma for courage. I have one cousin who delivered three children; otherwise no woman (blood relative) but my grandma has made it to three babies. It did help to hear that her labor with my aunt (her fourth) was similar to this nutty stuff. Long, drawn-out, days. And the comments really help from others.

Still two weeks from my due date but having mind-bending contractions. Mike is making coffee. He thinks tonight's the tonight. I'm not sure what to think anymore.
