Ben's new word is "brainstorming" which, he told us, means "thinking." Earlier this week at the midwife's office when she asked if we had a name for the baby yet and we sighed that we did not, Ben responded, "We're going to need to do some brainstorming."
Last night Ben had his foot up on the kitchen table and I reminded him that "feet do not belong on the table."
"Thanks for reminding me, Mom," he said in a completely sincere voice.
This morning Ben was having a conversation with Kyri about "allergies." "You're probably allergic to cats, right, Mom? Kyri's allergic to cats."
"No, Ben, Kyri doesn't have any allergies. It's not really fair, huh?"
He paused for a minute and said to Kyri, "Someday, I'm going to get a new body. In heaven, I won't be allergic to cats."

I love that boy! How grown up he's getting I know it's logical, but I can't quite believe it. 6 in January... yeesh. Been reading the Anne series lately and the seriousness of Ben's conversations reminds me a little of Anne's boys. Thanks for sharing, it makes the miles not seem so far.
