Recently we read about how Adam and Eve "hid" from God after they sinned because of their shame. The very same day Kyri started getting into things and then hiding at all new levels. I'm not sure if there is a connection but we do have evidence that she has a sin nature.
She likes to help herself to food at all times of the day. Her new favorite: peanut butter. She will get a butter knife, the peanut butter and hide out under the table while she serves herself. She got into the cookies one day this week and Ben joined her as they both ate as many cookies as they could before I arrived on the scene (I heard this one and started moving that way).
Ben has started to alert me to serious property damage while carefully trying not to tattle. "Mom, Kyri's getting into trouble" is as much as he will tell me. And only if he isn't going to benefit (e.g. cookies) in some way. He lets her eat the peanut butter but stays far away since he knows the effects of peanuts on him and doesn't want to get close enough for those nuts to leap out of the jar and attack him. But he usually gives me a heads-up if household destruction is in progress.
The list of interesting things (to Kyri) is endless: Any kind of cosmetic, scissors, writing utensils, food, and the camera.
I'm very tired.

Hi Rachelle,
I usually don't comment, but had to laugh at your post today. I have a little girl that is 2 months younger than Kyri and I think they must be vrey similar! Lanae is apt to be anywhere she isn't supposed to be - and especially enjoys emptying spices onto the kitchen floor or painting the floor and walls with fingernail polish. :-) I am due with #4 in Feburary and you summed up the way I feel exactly - I'm tired!
Thanks for being honest about how much fun and work being a mom is!
