My parents needed a ride to Sea-Tac airport this morning. As long as we were headed up that far north and the day was lovely, I decided to take my two favorite little people to
Volunteer Park in Seattle.

The park is an Olmsted design and in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. We enjoyed about an hour in the park before heading to Starbucks for a date over hot cocoa (for minors) and a decaf pumpkin spice latte for me.

Hot cocoa and pumpkin spice? Those are the typical northwest WINTER
drinks! We were still having summer yesterday and now it is raining but really R!

What is it about the annual pumpkin spice latte that makes any normal day just all bright and shiny?!?! I rarely go to Starbucks for budget reasons but make an exception during this season and even though its been in the 80s here this week, I've enjoyed 2 this week!! YAY for fall (even if I can't wear my awesome purple sweater yet...).
