Family time

Well, now I feel silly. Thanks for reading. I've enjoyed just thinking of all of you and remembering what I've come to love about blogging: the connection.

We had a fun weekend. We were with family on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, my cousin's little girl, was dedicated. Baby Jacqueline was able to gather a lot of family friends including my grandma (her great-grandma) and Grandma's four children and spouses, and half of us cousins. We had a huge potluck afterward. Then some of us drove another three hours to Yakima, WA. My grandma, Uncle Darold and Aunt Barbara and parents all had rooms within a few doors of ours. Sunday morning, Ben and Kyri were delighted to have some time in the pool with parents and grandparents. Kyri, normally a little nervous about water, went right in. (Showing off a little?)

My second cousin Kari was married Sunday afternoon and Kyri liked the pretty dresses. She really liked Ellie, her 2-year old 3rd cousin, who had "flowers in hair." Ellie, was a little star, being escorted down the aisle in a Red flyer wagon pulled by her 2nd cousin, Ethan. Unfortunately by the time we posed for family photos and made it out to the reception, Ben and Kyri were well past meltdown time and so we exited quickly and drove the four hours home.

And sadly, our camera will no longer download photos to the internet. We suspect it is the connecting cord but will have to get that checked out soon.

I wish we could have seen you yesterday. Maybe next time? It's about an hour and a half to Yakima from here.
