I haven't made a fortune blogging as the Seattle Budget Travels Examiner, but I have attracted a little attention here and there. Some of which I really don't know what to do with. In a recent article on airport security, I mentioned the whole body image scanners being tested at Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI) at the Southwest terminal. I provided a link so people could see that indeed these were "whole body image" scanners.
Today I have an email from someone at a company that makes a security body image scanner that is both safe and private. He wants me to interview him. My first thought was, I got my info from big sources and I'm just a wee blogger. Why me? I suppose I should feel powerful. Instead I just feel out of time. I don't really want to turn into a body imaging scanner reporter. I still haven't figured out what to do with this info. But I have to admit, his info makes me wonder why the TSA isn't using his machine instead of the one they have. Cost? Public transit in Boston uses it and it is in use at some federal buildings in D.C. and Maryland. So why not TSA? And what should I do?

Oh, definitely interview the rep! I don't think you're going to become a "body imaging scanner reporter" by doing one interview :) But it will sure give your blog some credibility - you're going to the original source and getting some "new" info, and not "just repeating info" from other news sources.
Plus, I'd love to hear what this guy has to say, and I'll not hear it otherwise!
Go girlfriend!! Grab life.
