We joined about 5,000 at our state Capitol for Tax Day TEA (Taxed Enough Already)Party today. Hundreds of thousands more partied across the nation at other locations to stand in opposition to our government's continued march toward socialism and fiscal irresponsibility. Ben can yell "No More Taxes" with the best of them.

Mike had taken the kids to the Children's Museum in the morning while I went to the dentist so I met them there. As I was walking from the parking lot two ladies next to me were on a cell phone telling someone how they couldn't believe there were so many people there. I smiled and said, "I didn't know there were this many sane people in Washington." And one responded, "I know, huh."
The Washington State Patrol told one of our representatives that this was the biggest rally they've seen and also the best crowd. Supposedly there were going to be counter-protesters (I guess the people who want us to pay more taxes so they can get more services) but if they were there, I didn't spot anyone.

Awesome! To me that was the best part - being around all the other people who "get it".
