- We celebrated a friend's 60th birthday at the end of February with a quick trip down to Portland. We were able to have dinner with my matron-of-honor and her family on the way home.
- Mike has been Food Banking with the youth group several times. They are making a regular service project of it. Mike can hardly wait until Ben is old enough to go along.
- I had a dinner party for friends and MADE the ravioli myself. Mike bought me a manual pasta maker for the occasion.
- I've been trying to bake more. I don't like baking. It is too precise and I still can't get it just right. But I've tried pitas, bread, and biscuits, and I have a growing collection of different kinds of flours.
- I'm continuing to move on my scrapbooking. I had a horrific experience the other night as I was preparing to launch into 2001 - 2004 (The Virginia Years). I have kept a journal since age 8 but I couldn't find the time period Oct. 2000-July 2001 which is a pretty pivotal time for me. I moved to Virginia and met Mike during those months. I did find in my Aug. 2001 entry that I had taken my journal to the 4th of July at the U.S. Capitol and it had been poured on, ruining the journal. But I noted that I had salvaged the pages and planned to rewrite it. So for a few hours I thought I might have forgotten and lost those pages. Fortunately, I finally found it. So I am beginning to scrapbook the Virginia years.
- Mike is getting ready for the official launch of his Constitutional Law Center. (He's been doing the work for awhile but this is the party!) Ed Meese is going to be speaking and I had the privilege of booking his airline ticket (he didn't even ask for first or business class). Mike has talked to him a few times and in the process has become an even bigger fan and I finally realized that I'm a bit smitten too. So to support my husband and shake the hand of someone who spent a lot of time with my favorite President, I've hired a babysitter and I'm going to the launch. YAY.

Sounds like you guys have been busy in a good way! I would like to get a pasta maker and try it some time. Sounds awesome. And that's so great about the new Constitutional Law Center. I'm sure God will continue to use Mike and bless it.
