My Busy Legislators
This is what the legislature does in my state: create a bill that bans campaign lies. Beyond just the obvious stupidity, how do you know the difference between a lie and a campaign promise that was obstructed? And really, we pay you for this? Couldn't we just end the session now and send everyone home and not pay them for the last month? Obviously they have run out of reasonable ideas.

It's definitely something in the [legislative] water - we're having the same problems here. We care more about banning smoking in cars with kids and regulating the industry of "body art" than we care about balancing our state's budget...
