The Top Ten Things Mom Loves About Our Dad
10) He is a fun guy. And handles the "rolling around on the floor" parenting.
9) Understands that she needs to leave the house alone for several hours after some days. And doesn't refer to what he does when she leaves as "babysitting."
8) Makes the kids mind immediately (when she can't). She kind of hates this too.
7) Knows how to install the car seats. And never asks why she doesn't learn.
6) Doesn't assume that because she stays home with us he gets to skip parent-teacher conferences, serious doctors visits, or the day-to-day of parenting.
5) He still treats her like an intelligent adult even when he finds her cleaning up vomit from the floor with filthy clothes and a tear-streaked face, making threats of a nervous breakdown.
4) Recognizes he functions better without sleep better than she does and takes the late shift with sick/cranky children.
3) Changes diapers. All kinds. Without (much) whining.
2) Established "Daddy Makes Breakfast" Saturdays. And thus Mommy sleeps in.
1) Knows that "I can't figure out what to make for dinner" means "Can we eat out tonight?"

Yup, we both got husbands from Top Quality Custom-Made Husbands, Inc.
I love all of them, but #5 made me laugh out loud. In a sympathetic sort of way.
