The Household of Chaos

from the mom

Ben was released yesterday while Kyri and I were at my grandma's funeral. It was lovely, a long trip, and too little time with family I never get to see.

M started crashing yesterday. When I called I could hear the exhaustion and he recognized he couldn't work a full day today. Not that we get to rest; Ben goes back to the doctor this afternoon. And he has rounds and rounds of medication. And we need to find out exactly how important the med that is $300 a month is to his well-being.

My wonderful mother slept in Ben's room last night and got up with him when he had to cough stuff up. M did a midnight treatment and then somewhere mid-morning everyone slept soundly. (Someone out there is praying Kyri sleeps when we need her to and it is working. THANK YOU!)

Now I have mountains of laundry staring at me, calls to return, bags and suitcases to unpack from the hospital and our 24-hour trip south, and groceries to buy.

I can't tell you how much the comments and phone calls have meant. I have realized yet again how much I need to know people care at times like these. We are truly blessed with a wonderful community and I am very thankful for the internet that keeps us in touch with people all over the country.

Long live the internet community!

We'll keep praying for you. I'm very happy you got to attend the funeral.

It's too bad we don't live closer, so we could help out at times like this. Want a job working at PHC? ;)

I too will keep praying and I also wish you lived here so I could help.
A great Thank You goes up to God that you were able to attend the funeral, that your drive went ok, that Kyri is sleeping and Ben is home from the hospital.
Love you all,
Judy

You know my number, girlfriend...I almost called this morning, but thought better of it since I was sure you guys were sleeping after your long trip. But when your folks leave and you need some help, I'm big and clumsy, but I can still shop and do some other things if you need!

Wish we were close enough to help out with the laundry and the groceries! I'll be praying for you all.

Send your laundry here and I'll do it for you. :) I'd go grocery shopping for you too, but I don't know where to buy dry ice so I could send them to you.

Hope your life will soon be back to normal (whatever that is).

Hey honey, it looks like you have plenty of offers of help. I guess you won't be needing me this weekend...
