Short Snippets on Us

• Kyri finally broke a tooth. A top one first at 14 months, just like her Uncle Mark. The other top one is very close. She is a tough girl, but definitely on the cranky side.
  
  
• As I was putting Ben's shoes on for school this morning, he piped up: "Be patient." Good advice.
  
  
• I locked myself out of the house again yesterday. I make it a habit not to lock it when I go for the mail but somehow....I had the car keys (safely in the garage) but not the house keys. Ben was on the computer instant-messaging his dad and would not be bothered by the doorbell, the pounding, etc.... I had to find a neighbor, call M, who borrowed a car and came and let me in. Ben had a string of messages to his dad; Kyri was napping and we were none the worse. Have I mentioned how glad I am M doesn't have a long commute?
  
  
• Mortar practice is going on at Ft. Lewis which has an effect on my nerves. I keep thinking Kyri's fallen down the stairs only to realize another mortar's gone off.
