from the mom
My husband signed me up for Fantasy Football this year. I've been asked to do it several years running and always declined due to time commitments. This year I was asked to be in three different leagues. He offered to co-manage my team.
Being the control freak that I am, I took over close to half way through the season and his management effectively ended. At which point I started doing better. Today I won the Big Cahuna, beating my dad in the final. I was a little sad; I am not nearly as competitive as the men in my life. But as the only girl in the league, I have a little satisfaction too. (Especially because one guy kept offering me ridiculous trades like I knew nothing about the game.)
M says he regrets pressuring me to join. But Pandora's Box has been opened. I vow to only play in one league next year.
