In Florida It's Called a Hurricane; Out Here, A Storm

This is about 35 miles southwest of us. Those are ramps on and off to the I-5 freeway. It is 10 feet under water. Several of M's employees are trapped south of the freeway and can't get into work; another is on search and rescue and was helping out as people were being evacuated.

Another example of government accountability in the People's Republic of WA: A tax increase was passed in 2003 specifically to shore up the Chehalis River. It was never done and apparently the money was used for other things. The result is the picture above.
