from the mom
We took advantage of everyone being (relatively) healthy and did way too much this weekend. I made jam, we cut down our Christmas tree, three of us had haircuts (for a family photo that was gifted to us by a photographer friend), and we went to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousin and went to The Lights of Christmas in 30 degree weather. Ben enjoyed meeting Frosty but especially Santa who gave him a candy cane. He is still talking about that. Kyri enjoyed the petting zoo the most; she saw bunnies, goats, donkeys, and sheep that she previously had only seen in books.
Kyri kept her dad up until 3am Saturday morning while I peacefully slept. When she woke me at 5:30, I thought she had slept much longer than usual and was impressed. Until I spoke to her groggy dad the next morning.
Last night we had dinner at friends and enjoyed playing games. It was a good weekend; I only wish it had lasted longer.

Such cute kids! Kyri's big blue eyes are just gorgeous!
It's that time of year for sickness. CJ's runny nose, which he caught right after Thanksgiving has finally stopped this morning! Thankfully he never got too much worse than that, but it sure did drag on. Glad to hear you guys are feeling better now!
So you actually got Kyri's hair cut at a real barber shop, eh? I need to take Daph in. Wow, does Kyri have some hair! I love her bemused way of watching the world.
