Every time I make it to the top of the Space Needle I always look down on Gas Works Park and want to go there. This park made it into the movie 10 Things I Hate About You. Finally we made it a few weeks back when my friend Christie was out from Boise.
It was a cool park. Except for the fact that the homeless have turned it into home. Ben ran off ahead of us for a minute and we found him trying to wake up a homeless man sleeping on his barcalounger in front of his television (that was on). Somehow he had electricity and had a comfy shelter. So not the most sanitary environment for kids. But certainly unique. And what a view of Seattle.
