from the mom
1) Ben has fully recovered from roseola and has stepped up his language a little. He is also getting to be a little more helpful and independent. Last night he helped me set the table, putting on napkins and forks and carrying over the butter dish.
2) One of the unsuccessful ploys I've used to encourage potty-training is the promise of wearing "big boy underwear." Once again I pulled them out and showed Ben how very cool he would be when wearing his blue underwear. "Do you want to try them on and wear them for awhile?"
"No, no, diaper, please."
Sigh. We'll try again later.
3) Perhaps the most beautiful words in the English language are: "I love you Mommy." He said, "I love you Grammy" first but he's finally gotten around to saying it to me.
