from the mom
We went out shopping last night because we had some coupons. I ended up buying a much-needed new dress as an early Mother's Day gift from my family.
When we came home, I tried it on to show M what he had purchased for me. When I walked in to the kids' room where he was playing with them, Ben became very excited, gasped and ran over to touch my dress. He felt the material, talking excitedly. "Is Mama pretty?" M asked him. "Pretty Mom, pretty," he responded. I'm not sure I've ever been more happy to hear that. I got all teary and called my parents to tell them that Ben had told me I was pretty.
This morning Ben had the same reaction when I wore my dress for church. And all during service, he continued to touch it. He really likes this dress. And I'm happy that he could verbally express that to me. It is music to my ears.

That's so sweet! :) Can we see a pic of the pretty mama in her dress?
Ben knows a pretty woman when he sees one and he just had to tell you in words that you would understand.
