Discovery

from the mom

Yesterday we made a quick trip to Portland and I picked up my mom and saw the chiropracter. I've been trying not to lift, twist, bend, or move quickly ever since. He says if I can make it 24 hours, I can make it.

Tonight I'm having a Discovery Toys Open House. It promises to bomb. I'm not terribly surprised. I'm excited but I hate being pushy. So all my materials says I'm supposed to call, email, annoy people into attending. I won't go there. I also hate pyramid sales. And while most of these toys are unique, and so quality they are worth paying the selling price, there are a few that I couldn't in good conscience help but tell people they can find something very similar at Target for half the price.

However, if you are looking for good quality toys and want to order, you can always order on line at www.discoverytoysinc.com. If you choose my name, I will get credit for it. Of course, it is always better to play with them first and know what is best. But I played with things at a friend's house and knew I wanted that toy for Ben. And of course I'm always willing to give recommendations.

I got into this because I wanted to have a party and earn a few toys. And I couldn't find a consultant. So I ended up signing up. And Ben and Kyrie have really had fun with all their new toys. Now, we just have to make sure not to lose anything!

Loved the Joshua Bell article...thanks for sharing that.

What happened to your back? I've been having some pretty major back issues so I can sympathize and can't imagine what I would do if I had to carry a baby (or 2) around. :-/ I hope you're ok.

How did the party go?

The Joshua Bell article was good.

I'm the world's worst at RSVPing, so I always appreciate a follow-up call from a hostess to remind me. So you don't have to feel like you're prodding too much if you call to remind people about a party.

I plan to check out the website. I've come across Discovery Toys before and loved them.
