from the mom
When we decided to have Ben go by his middle name, my grandma wished me good luck. She tried the same thing with my dad MANY years ago. Around age 2, people started referring to him by his legal first name and he started answering to that instead.
We've been working with Ben to answer when people ask his name. During a practice session yesterday, out popped: "Michael." I couldn't believe it so I asked: "Did you say 'Michael'? "Michael," he responded. Today while watching a video clip of him and his sister he said, "Kyr" and then, "Michael." Oh boy!

Interesting. I haven't heard this yet. We'll see how D2 does when he gets older--since his first name is the same as Papa and Grandpa, it's going to be really confusing if he doesn't stick to his middle name.
How interesting... but he's always been Ben... he can't be Michael! :)
