Losing My Mind

from the mom

If obsessing over small things is a sign of losing your mind, I'm in big trouble. Somehow we seem to have lost the car charger and a shirt of Kyri's. It was a new shirt that went with a little outfit and she had only worn it once. I've gone through the entire house, even folded sheets and towels looking for that shirt. I've rechecked our luggage for both items and gone through the car twice. I'm really irritated these items are lost.

Parenthood has caused a lot of things to be left behind. A toy in the rental car in D.C.; pacifiers EVERYWHERE. But I always figure it out and know it has happened. How these two items disappeared is a mystery. And it is driving me CRAZY.

A new shirt and a car charger? I'd be obsessing over those too! Not just the loss, but the mystery. Hope you solve it!

I can SO relate!! I recently lost a pair of shoes that are no where to be found. I wear them ALL the time, so it's a little odd I can't place them. grr.

I can totally relate. I HATE losing things, even the small things. Lately I've been obsessing about keeping track of Meredith's hair barrettes--especially the colors like pink that she wears a lot. I would go to great lenghts to ensure that she didn't lose them and would freak out when they were missing, spending 20 minutes looking for the lost one. Finally I decided this was CRAZY because they are only $1 for a set of ten. Isn't it ridiculous what I was doing? It's definitely worth paying $1 every few months to get a new set, thereby saving my sanity. Sigh.
