I was born earlier this week so this is my first post. Being born was not fun. Mom keeps telling me that I had it so much better than my brother; am I always going to be compared to him? All I hear is "She has so much more hair than Ben," "She weighed less than Ben but she was longer," "She cries more than Ben." Blah, blah, blah. However, he is very interesting to watch and he gives me little kisses. I like that.
There were a lot of people there to help me out of Mom. The three midwives said that I did a rollover on the way out; all three said they had never seen anything like it. They said I am a little acrobat. It just makes Mom's story longer if anyone ever asks if I was posterior or not. I was both. My head wasn't, my body was.
I found eating very hard and everyone got excited because I liked to sleep too long. Mom keeps telling me that she'll really appreciate it later. She doesn't want me to give it up entirely. But in the meantime she wakes me up constantly to feed me. It is very annoying at times.
Everyone thought my difficulty with eating might have some thing to do with my funny rollover on the way out. So the midwife arranged for me to have something called cranial-sacral massage. My brother Ben has had it several times. Only Mom and Dad said the lady was a quack. She didn't really do anything to me; she said she was feeling my cranial-sacral rhythm through her cranial-sacral rhythm. She told Mom and Dad to concentrate on releasing into the balls of their feet and that would help me. My midwife apologized and said that was not cranial-sacral but quackery. We might try again later. We'll look for someone who doesn't offer a special "singing medicine" song at the end of each session. Dad said "no, thank you."
Grandpa is here now. He and Ben are having a really fun time. Time for a nap.

I loved hearing the story about the quacked lady:) ~Missi
Whoa there, Ben. When did this kissy stuff start? Take it from your Uncle Mark (who had a cute sister of his own). Better not start the whole "kiss your sister thing early." The whole hugs and kisses thing should be reserved for when you need to really win some political points. If you kiss your sister too much, she owns you.
Maybe a one armed hug is ok. But hold out on the kisses until you need to dig yourself out of a big hole.
