Fending For Myself

from Ben

Mom keeps complaining of being sleepy. This morning Dad got me up and then went off to work. Mom was sleeping but she explained to me that she hadn't had much sleep last night because Baby Kyri needed her. Bummer for her! I sure slept great.

So I made my way downstairs to amuse myself. I made four phone calls to Grammy on the cell phone. Sadly she turned me in by calling Mom or I might have made a few more calls.

An hour later I was getting very hungry and realized I should find something to eat for myself. I dug through my diaper bag and found a bag of Veggie Chips and a juice box. I managed to get the plastic wrap off the straw and the straw in the hole and finally get some nourishment.

Unfortunately when I went to get up in my seat and turn on the kitchen light, I took a tumble and landed on the floor. Mom put the baby down very quickly and came to see if I was ok. I was pretty scared and I figured crying was a great way for her to think about how she was neglecting me.

I like to help with the baby a lot. I keep trying to give her the passy when she cries but she seems to resent it. She apparently wants us all to hear her real well.

That's so funny! I often theorize about how one is possibly able to manage with both a newborn and toddler. I can't imagine how hard it must be!

Way to go, Ben! Isn't it amazing how self-sufficient a child becomes when necessary?

Ben, you are a pistol! I got a big laugh out of it but I'm not so sure your Mom felt the same. R: each day gets easier I was told. what would I know tho!
