from Ben's mom
I've been mentally preparing for a trip we are taking at the end of summer and since it involves air travel, planned to ask friends at the other end if we could borrow their pack-n-play for Ben to sleep in. Yesterday, during naptime it occurred to me that Ben is much too long to fit into a pack-n-play without a lot of discomfort. So now I have to figure out if he'll sleep ok on a pile of bedding on the floor.
To confirm my suspicions last night I heard crying and discovered that he had somehow managed to get his legs stuck between his crib bars and the wall and couldn't move. Nor could I move him alone.... (The stomach protusion had much to do with it.) I woke the sleeping father who moved the crib and set everything right again.
I need to keep him in his crib until after the baby comes so the twin bed is available for Grandma-people to sleep in. But physiologically, he is more than ready to move to a big bed.

Do you think Ben would sleep on an air mattress? We have a second one, which is too short for adults to sleep on, but probably just right for Ben.
