My Weekend At Grammy and Grandpa's House

Last Thursday night we drove to Grammy and Grandpa's house. I really didn't feel like being in the car and Dad says I was pretty difficult the whole trip. But I was glad to get there and I ran around and jumped on the mini-tramp, got a snack, and checked out my favorite toys there.

I was pretty tired so I went to bed for a little bit and then woke up coughing. Mom came in and gave me some medicine. A little while later, I coughed again and I woke up enough to remember that Mom had said that she and Dad would be gone when I woke up in the morning. I didn't want that to happen, so I decided to hold it together and stay awake. I called Mom and she came and snuggled with me. I started to drift off to sleep but I woke up when she tried to put me back in my bed. No way! So she held me and then Grammy held me because Mom said she had to get ready to leave. So I started running around, got another snack, and stayed up to see Mom and Dad off. (At 2:30am.) I just waved and didn't cry the whole time. But I stayed up until 4am and Grammy was looking very tired.

I had a great weekend. I played outside on the swing, went places with Grammy and Grandpa, played with a dog who lives nearby who really likes me, and went to church with Grandpa and Grammy.

Grammy has more energy than Mom and she has a bigger house and a big yard. So I don't get bored there. I helped her make carrot juice, and did some rearranging in her kitchen for Ben-efficiency.

But I was pretty happy when she woke me from my nap Sunday and told me we had to go get Mom and Dad at the airport. I was very excited. When I saw Mom and Dad, I nearly broke my carseat trying to get out. They were very happy to see me too and Dad and I ate french fries to celebrate being back together again!

I love that I can picture the house, the carseat and even the mini-tramp! How was the wedding?

Blessings,
