My New Life

Things have been very strange lately. Mom has become even lazier and she never gets up before me in the morning. And then she takes naps, several of them. She tells me she feels "sick" and needs my help.

I really don't mind. I get to watch a lot more DVDs and I pretty much get to do what I want with my toys. Sometimes she'll say, "Oh Ben, please pick up your toys. The house is a mess." I like the mess.

I do worry about her and Dad. They keep telling me about a baby in Mama's tummy and yet I can't see anything. Mom drags out the pictures of me and tries to show me pictures of when she was REALLY FAT and tell me that it is me in there making her fat. She says I am not a baby anymore, and that I will be her "big boy" and a big brother to a new baby.

I plan to get away and spend the weekend at Grandpa and Grammy's. Hopefully they won't be so weird.

Ben, although things will be strange for a little while, it'll be very fun soon. Having a brother or a sister is one of the best things in the world. You're going to love it! :)

It's also fun being the big sibling because you can teach your brother or sister lots and lots of things. You can play your drums for them. You can teach them how to splash in puddles. You're going to be an awesome big brother!

Ben, tell your mom we're praying that she will feel better soon - even if it means less DVDs for you. :)

And Ben, you're mom is not lazy at all, even when she doesn't need an extra nap (or three), so remember to "think on what is true" and honor your mom!
