Washington's Cash Crop

from Ben's mom

I heard on the radio recently that enough marijuana was confiscated last year to make it Washington's 8th top-producing crop. In a state where we export apples, grapes, pears, Walla Walla sweet onions (the new state vegetable) and other produce to the rest of the nation, that is pretty significant. Especially considering it is only based on the amount that was confiscated. But I do feel at home after growing up in Oregon where the helicopters used to fly over our area looking for similar cash crops and one of Mark's friends turned out to be a major producer. (She was a very nice mellow young mother who loaned him books.)

"Mellow" and "stoned" are often related. She was quite nice and she had some great books.

I quite liked her house too. Very nifty three story thing with a no leak treehouse feel to it.

I always avoided the back forty. . .
