Mom's been playing with me more. Sometimes we just read books but often she will play ball with me, saying things like: "Be gentle Ben. I'm not as tough as Daddy." No kidding!
Yesterday, she told me it was time for Mommy and Ben time. She asked if I wanted to play ball. I seized my opportunity and ran swiftly to the front door and began to bang on it. Then I headed to my room and found my shoes. She got the message. "Okay, okay Ben, it isn't raining at the moment, so let's try out your new boots."
I didn't really want to wear my boots. They were big and hard to walk in. But Mom insisted and I really wanted to go outside. So after I got my hat and coat on, we set off. And that's when I realized that boots are great! Because Mom took me straight to the puddles and told me to splash all I want. (Usually I'm splashing and she's saying, "Ben, no, you're getting soaked.") But we walked up and down our little road and I jumped in all the puddles. Then she let me throw some rocks.
But she couldn't take any pictures because I was still learning to walk in my big boots so I held on to her the whole time. Maybe next time....
