Mom suggested I tell my version of the events of Oct. 22. Huh? "When we picked up Mrs. Sarah and Mr. Nathan and went to Mt. Rainier." Huh? "I'll remind you Ben."
As I recall we went to The Pumpkin Patch that morning and went on a hayride and I found a whole field full of dirt. And Dad took me through a hay maze and down a barn slide. Oh, and I petted some "dogs" (goats) and fed them.
After a nap and some lunch we went to the airport and there was Mr. Nathan and Mrs. Sarah. It was obvious from the way that Mrs. Sarah talked to me that she knew me and she liked me so much that she wanted to sit next to me. That was cool. Mom and Dad said that the weather was clear and sunny and that we might not get a day like that the rest of the time they were visiting so we should head to Mt. Rainier. Oh boy, I thought. Here it goes. But at least I had interesting people to talk to in the car.
We have only been to Mt. Rainier in the summer before so Dad was amazed that the pay station was closed and some of the roads and Mom was disturbed that the rest areas were locked and the trash cans covered so you couldn't use them. But it was a nice day and we stopped a few times. Once we went for a little hike in the woods and Dad let me splash in puddles. Then later we watched the sun go down. Everyone wanted to take pictures of the "sunset." It was a nice day but I was not home by my bedtime.

I guess we shouldn't tell Mr. Nathan that you were flirting with me in the back seat, huh? :)
