I went to the Fair last week. I petted goats and watched some drummers and had a great time. And we went to what Mom and Dad called a "concert." All I know is that I have never seen so many people in one place and that they were very excited. Mom apologized for that and told me she isn't so much into really loud people getting overly excited either. But I really liked the music and after awhile I started clapping and cheering. I even danced a little. Mom made me wear a funny hat that covered my ears and kept me warm and she and Dad took turns cuddling with me.
Yesterday, was a fun day and I played outside in the sunshine (which Mom says we must enjoy while we can). Last night I went to bed and when I woke up I couldn't breathe. I kept coughing and my voice sounded like a dog barking and my throat hurt. Mom and Dad were very scared and gave me medicine and tried to make me drink water. I woke up a lot last night and Mom did strange things like take me into the bathroom and turn the water on. She held me a lot and sometimes I slept on her chest. Finally, I felt a little better. Today I am still coughing and I am pretty tired. So Dad said no church today.
We might go for a little ride later because Dad says it is Mom's birthday. Mom let me look at her birthday cards while I ate my oatmeal this morning. Now, I need a nap.

Breathing difficulties are very frightening. When I took Stuart in for croup, I was told that cold air was good for it -- even taking him outside in the cool night air. They gave him cold, wet air to breathe, and it cleared him up.
The bathroom-steam-treatment works, also. Just wanted to mention the cold air in case hot air doesn't do the trick sometime.
