Today Mom and I went to the Farmer's Market and they had a cool band playing. There were drums and a saxaphone and something else (that Mom didn't notice). It was good stuff and I decided to dance. Then I had to get closer to see better and have it louder, so I walked right up front. I could really feel it. Mom told me later that people started to notice and stopped to watch ME. She said that I made some people happy because I had so much joy just listening to the music. Mom gave me $1 to put in the jar for the musicians. She told me that she normally doesn't do that, but when someone gives you that much enjoyment, you should think about what you can give back.
I enjoyed seeing my new friend Addie. She is a very pretty girl and I think I can teach her some things. She is one year younger than me and she was starting to move to the music by the time we left the market too. I like to think I'm a good influence. As long as mom doesn't hold her. She has her own nice mom and mine keeps getting ideas about holding other people's babies. Last night she held baby Flora and I gave her a good talking to. I also told her that if she does stuff like that, I'm never going to quit asking her for milk. She seemed pretty worried about that, and she was careful not to hold Addie today. But I know she wanted to.

Just curious -- what is Addie short for? I don't come across that name often (no surprise that we chose it, then) so I'm interested when I do.
Ben should get over his aversion to Mama-holding-baby when he gets a little older. :)
