Parents Are Handy

Mom says I've been a little paranoid recently about her leaving. She goes to get the mail or take out the trash and I get very upset. "Ben, Mommy isn't going to forget you. You are my precious boy," she'll say.

I know that but I always have a momentary flash of what a horrible thing it would be to be Ben if she left me for a couple of hours and there was no one to feed me. Today she left me but she gave Dad good instructions as to what I would like. I really had fun and I was able to convince him I didn't REALLY need a nap. We had fun times.

And so I've decided that moms and dads are very handy. They feed you, they love you, they hold you when you get a tummy ache in the middle of the night. All in all, parents are good things to have.
