Women are Fragile
Mom is having a rough time. Apparently she had done some reading and knew that my first word would probably be "dad." She was right! But then when I started saying "nye, nye," she made the assumption that I was saying Mom. Dad had warned me that sometimes women fall in love with you and start reading into your words and actions, but somehow I hadn't realized that it would happen this soon! So about a week ago when I did actually start to say "mama," she realized that "nye, nye" was something else entirely. In fact, she realizes that I was clearly asking to nurse all this time and now feels like an object. "Oh, Ben, do you just love me for what you can get out of this relationship?" Yeah, Dad warned me about this one too. But he always made Mom out to be pretty reasonable. Guess I have some comforting to do.

Don't worry, Ben. Moms seem fragile, but they're pretty resilient. My mama is still hanging around, even after a year and a half of being The Means By Which I Get To Daddy. -- Stuart.
P.S. My mama laughed a lot at this post. Shows how sensitive she is to your family troubles, doesn't it?
