from Ben's mom
I have to admit I'm a little surprised at the verdict. Being married to an attorney means constantly being reminded that the prosecution must prove him guilty; that mere suspicion won't cut it. My attorney husband did find Amber Frey to be a good witness and the taped conversations led him to concede that Scott might get nailed. It seems that it is so. While I would never want an innocent person to be unfairly convicted, I am glad to see Peterson found guilty. And interestingly, in one of the most liberal states in the U.S., an unborn child was found to be a "person." It looks like only doctors and mothers have the right to find a child inconvenient and murder him or her; the same right does not apply to the father. Isn't it time we revisited Roe v. Wade and abortion on demand?
