Mom Finally Begins My Baby Book

My floor is covered with all kinds of pictures and paper, scissors, and other scrapbook supplies. I would really like to help mom but she insists on having me watch from my crib while she works on my baby book. Occasionally, she'll show me a picture and say, "Oh Ben, can you believe you were that little?" Honestly, I can't remember. So I guess the book is a good idea.

You're lucky, Ben. I still don't have my wedding album put together yet.

I think I'm going to try my mother's method . . . hoping for an oldest daughter who likes scrapbooking. That or maybe I'll get to my wedding album after the kids are all grown.

I've come down with the scrapbooking fever again, too. It comes and goes. But I looked at my albums in progress, and discovered that, according to my own historical records:

* I had a one-year-old daughter.

* I had a newborn son who just came home from the hospital.

* I was not yet married; we were dining at a perpetural rehearsal dinner.

So I got motivated, and did several kid pages this weekend. Besides, I have a safety net: my mother-in-law has put together albums of the grandkids AND the weddings of her two sons. -- SJ
