Bearing Responsibility

from Ben's mom

I have to admit that I like to check the Seahawks scores. Today I was disappointed to see that the Seahawks dropped another game. And amazed at Mike Hasselbeck's honesty. Here's his statement:
"You can put all the blame on me," he said. "I was just bad. I feel like I really let my teammates down today. I really have no answers. I just couldn't get it going. I don't know why. I don't know what the deal was, but it was my fault." More.

I like basketball too, but it is hard to find a NBA player who's willing to take the blame for any of his actions, both on and off the court. Good to see there are some good guys out there still.

I like to think that it was because Hasselback - the only starting quarterback to publicly endorse George W. Bush for President, was distracted by the elections and tired from a day of precinct walking (although I seriously doubt he was precinct walking).
