Da-Da-Da

Finally, my parents understood something I said. I have been talking for several months now (despite what they might tell you). However, I have had some difficulty being understood. Things usually go like this:
Mom, I'm very hungry and would like to eat now, please.
Ben, are you tired? Let's take a nap.
Mom, no, hungry, no, no, no, you're not listening. Stop.

However, two days ago, I said "Hey, Dad, let's play" and he smiled at me and said, "Ben, did you say 'daddy'?" And Mom popped her head into the room and said, "Mike, that sounded like 'daddy.'" I have used it successfully since and though I am still working on the pronounciation, they are getting the idea. Frankly, I am a little worried about their hearing though, especially mom. We'll see what words they recognize next.
